Simone Ashwini Pillai was born on 30 March 1995 in Camberley, Surrey, England, to Indian Tamil-speaking Indian immigrant parents of the first generation, Gunasekharan Pillai and Latha Pillai. She is the younger sibling of Sean Pillai.
