Early Life and Education
Jordan Redford Gray, otherwise known as Jordan Gray was born on the 11th of January 1989 in Thurrock, Essex, England, and grew up in a working-class family with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gray. She went to Hassenbrook Academy in Corringham and then after Palmer’s College for two years, she managed to balance academics with her budding musical talents.
After college, Jordan Gray moved briefly to Musselburgh, Scotland, where she developed her skills by performing in pubs and open mics, but she could not resist London’s lure for long and came back.
Career
Her stand-up comedy career was launched with a performance in 2017 by Tom Mayhew, a bandaged-from-her-twitter-fiasco breast implants performance (Transformation Street on ITV filmed).
Success followed: nominated for the Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her show “Is It a Bird?” (2022), she was awarded the Comedians’ Choice Award and performed at the London Palladium in October 2022 as the first trans artist there.

Jordan is the brains behind the pilot episode of BBC Three’s Yesterday, Today & The Day Before (2021), she was a co-host in Channel 4’s Riot Girls (2022), and a presenter of the BBC’s Growing Up Black (2023). Jordan Gray has been married to Heli Siva-Gray, a Czech croupier. The two met online and live together in London, where they also work together creating content.
At 36, Jordan Gray is without children and often uses their interaction as a source of material, while giving credit to Heli for being her support when she is caught up in the whirlwind of her career.
