They have been going at each other for the sole purpose of impressing their respective fanbase. In the course of this article, we will be looking at the history and key takeaways from these rappers.

How The Beef Started

Dandizzy started this beef when he released a diss track about Kabex. However, there have not been any known causes of the beef. However, it began in early May 2024 when Dandizzy released a diss track and accused Kabex of having an unpleasant body odor.

This diss track was not welcomed in the Kabex camp. In the midst of this, there have been some key takeaways from it. Here are some of them:

Key Takeaways From Ongoing Disses

Kabex’s Body Odour

Dandizzy accused his colleague of having a body odor. He highlighted that part constantly in his rap diss to his colleague. He advised Kabex to buy perfume to increase his chance of smelling nice when he is in the midst of people.

In his words, he stated that ‘girls cover their noses’ when he is in the room. This is surely not a pleasant experience!

Kabex in his defense started by saying no rapper can school him in the music industry. Kabex who is known for his indigenous rap uniquely replied Dandizzy. He stated that Dandizzy is a roadside rapper. Kabex made things worse by saying Dandizzy’s talent would be best appreciated in the market square.

Weak Bars And Popularity

Of course, Dandizzy did not retreat as his team informed him of Kabex’s reply. Dandizzy then came full throttle by calling Kabex’s lyrics very wack. The hook of Dandizzy’s new freestyle was ‘Kabex wack wack’.

The part that intrigued many listeners was the fact that Dandizzy released this diss two hours after Kabex’s first diss. Most people believe that this diss track may have been in the microwave for a while now just waiting to be served.

Kabex, the indigenous rapper is leveraging on his first diss. He stated in the track that Dandizzy was using his name to trend since he is the bigger artiste. That was not all. In all honesty, Kabex is not quite a big name in the rap industry. However, he is known in several areas in Lagos, especially in the Mainland. Could this be a genuine claim?

Battle Of The Freestylers

Another talking point that has got fans on their feet is the versatility of Dandizzy. Dandizzy promised Kabex a reply in two hours and he delivered! This shows that he is naturally talented. Of course, this is not to downplay Kabex’s talent.

Unlike some rappers in the industry who wait for ghostwriters, Dandizzy makes use of his brain to create good flows. Dandizzy did not hesitate in making this stand known to his colleague. A fan even commented saying ‘Dandizzy freestyles for a living’.

Kabex on the other hand is a well-versed freestyler too. He has performed in many rap battles and came out victorious. In his song ‘Destruction’, he asserted that he is the best indigenous rapper to come out of the Yoruba land. He respected the past rappers who have taken indigenous rap to the level it is now. He claimed that no new-school rapper is better than him at the moment.

Ranking In The Rap Game

One thing is common about rappers or MCs all over the world. They believe they are the best. Dandizzy observed his opponent and said he could not be categorized among the top indigenous rappers. In his words, he said Kabex is ’00 nothing’.

This signified that Kabex cannot be in the conversation of the best indigenous rappers. One can tell that Kabex is not a familiar name in Dandizzy’s books. This did not sit well with Kabex. In his reply, he said Dandizzy’s rap is weak.

He advised Dandizzy that if he was looking for a person to keep a beef with, then he should visit an abattoir. What a punchline! This line intrigued the hip hop fans. This made fan pages and influencers flood into the comments section of Kabex to credit him for that verse.

Lack Of Understanding

Dandizzy played on the fact that Kabex raps only in Yoruba. Dandizzy said that he employed an interpreter who would translate Kabex lines. After the translation, he opined that Kabex bars were very weak. He said that he needs to learn English so the majority of people can understand what he is saying.

However, music fans have blamed Dandizzy for this opinion. Most people stated that Dandizzy knew he was an indigenous rapper before picking on him. Why then dictate his manner of rapping?

Kabex did not struggle to clarify his stand. He took to his X handle to say that he was not convinced of Dandizzy’s second diss track. Kabex stated that his rap was so good that Dandizzy had to remember the lyrics of the track. That was not all. He reiterated the fact that language is not a barrier for a good diss.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Dandizzy may be said to have the upper hand in the ongoing diss. A diss is meant to showcase an artiste’s spontaneity. In this case, Dandizzy has released two diss tracks that have shaken the Kabex camp. Also, beef is a way of increasing your audience scope.

Dandizzy who raps in both English and Pidgin English has a a greater audience because Africans in other countries can understand what he is saying properly. All in all, this is not to discredit Kabex. Kabex has a large Yoruba fanbase too.

To this end, we believe this is just the beginning of an entertaining contest!
