Camidoh Upbringing

Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, popularly known as Camidoh, was born in the Volta Region, Ghana. He was born on 21 January 1994.
He was raised by a single mother in the Volta Region. Raphael’s introduction to music started when he started listening to Akon’s songs.
It started when his cousin played some Akon songs via YouTube for Camidoh. Listening to the way Akon expressed his love in a song motivated him to do the same.

He met with some people who took music seriously, and voila! In 2018, Camidoh made interesting songs and got UK-based Nigerian artiste Darkoo on the songs, too.
Later on, Kelvyn Boy and Eugy were also part of featured artistes in Camidoh’s early days in the music industry. In 2020, he released his Extended Playlist (EP) titled Contingency Plan.

King Promise had to be there. Why? King Promise had already reached out to Camidoh’s team, pleading to remix the record. So he had to be there. Darkoo has been an obvious friend of the house since their first collaboration.
Thankfully, Darkoo sent two verses to the remix. She asked Cami to pick the one he was feeling. In no time, the remix was ready!
The “Sugarcane remix” immediately got the number 1 record in Apple Nigeria and Ghana simultaneously. In 2023, Cami was on nearly every nomination in Ghana and Africa for the Best Collaboration in Africa.
